Caesars Sportsbook launches with mobile sports betting in Kansas – Gambling Insider
Caesars Sportsbook is now available for download in the US state of Kansas, as noted by Caesars Entertainment.
The launch of Caesars Sportsbook in Kansas expands the company’s footprint in the Midwest through its offering of entertainment experiences at gaming destinations Harrah’s North Kansas City and Isle of Capri Hotel Boonville in neighbouring Missouri and Harrah’s and Horseshoe Council Bluffs in Iowa.
“We’re proud to deliver a world-class sports betting experience that matches the championship pedigree Kansas is known for,” said Caesars Digital Co-President Eric Hession.
“Our Caesars Sportsbook app has never been more user-friendly, and when you combine that with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunities offered through Caesars Rewards, we’re thrilled about what we can bring to Kansas sports fans in time for football season.”
Caesars Sportsbook is now live in 26 states and North American jurisdictions, 19 of which are mobile.
“Caesars is an industry leader in responsible gaming with a decades-long commitment to responsible gaming practices,” a statement from the company read.
“As Caesars Sportsbook continues to expand into new markets, responsible gaming education remains a key emphasis, and customers in Kansas can directly access responsible gaming resources through Caesars Sportsbook’s work with regulators and the community.
“In addition, the Caesars Sportsbook app has best-in-class tools in place to prevent problem gambling, including Deposit Limits, Spending Limits, Daily Time Limits, and Cool Off Time Limits.”
As noted by BetKansas.com, the Kansas sports betting marketplace opened its doors as scheduled at 12:00PM Central Time on Thursday, with the state allowing legal wagers in what it labelled a “soft launch”. A total of five betting apps then went live; Barstool Sports, BetMGM, PointsBet, DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook.
Commenting on PointsBet being awarded provisional sports wagering certification in Kansas, Group CEO and Managing Director Sam Swanell said: “We are excited to be launching on the starting line and having our outstanding sportsbook product available to the people of Kansas from day one.
